USHER MINISTRY
The Usher Ministry is a thoroughly trained leader who people depend on for direction in the house of the Lord. He or she is the first person to meet and greet individuals who have entered the atmosphere of the church and its surroundings. The usher represents the church and its mission, and becomes the embodiment of the gracious spirit of the Christian group. Often, unknowingly, the usher is the first friend who shares in making the lonely feel cared for, the bereaved see hope, the sinner feel forgiveness, the discouraged feel cheered, and everyone feel enjoined to unselfish love for his neighbor. In fact, he is the instrument who introduces the individual to every practical expression of what the church ought to be about, and to the presence of the Almighty.
