Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.
Pastor Kim D. Shivers, Senior Pastor
Rev. Dr. Kim D. Shivers, a man after God’s own heart, is a native of Smithfield, Virginia, born to John M. and Ida Ford Shivers. Dr. Shivers began his spiritual nurturing in the Little Zion Baptist Church, Smithfield, under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. J. Arthur Taylor. As a member of that church he served in various capacities. The church licensed him as a minister in 1986, and ordained him October 1989 to prepare him for the call of the pastorate.
Co-Pastor Edith Shivers, Leading Lady
Edith Robinson Shivers born as a twin to late Lillie Robinson and James Jones and was reared in Smithfield, Virginia as the youngest of eight siblings. She is a graduate of Smithfield High School, John Tyler Community college, Chester, Virginia in the funeral service curriculum, and has attended St. Paul’s College, Norfolk State University and Paul D. Camp.
